Reid B. Murphy, MD

Dr. Reid Murphy

Dr. Reid Murphy is a board-certified ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon who has been caring for patients at Medicus Eye Group since 2012.  A native of Greenville, SC, she graduated as Valedictorian of J. L. Mann High School.  She then went on to earn her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Furman University.  After college, she moved to Charleston to pursue her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was selected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.  She was fortunate to continue her training there, completing both an Internship in general surgery and Residency in ophthalmology at MUSC.  

Dr. Murphy finds joy in caring for her patients.

She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, who is also a Furman graduate, and their two daughters, who are avid tennis players.  She and her family especially enjoy sports and outdoor activities.
